Vinification This wine was produced with the Baga grape variety. Its fermentation took place in lagares and was stopped with the addition of aguardente (Portuguese for Brandy) which was distilled in our Charentais still through a double distillation process. Along with the grape variety that brought it to life, the quality of the aguardente proved to be decisive in the excellence of the final product.
Ripening This abafado ages for at least 10 years in barrels with high oxygenation.
